Personal Rule of Life as a Christian

Personal Rule of Life as a Christian

Christians show a pattern of activities in their life that reflect living according to God’s guidelines. These practices are things done in daily life and influence a person’s behavior while relating with others (Willard, 2014). A virtue such as hospitality is practiced by Christians and helps them relate with one another and live as human beings under God. It is essential to reflect on a person’s belief when one want to live a life of Christianity since practices are shaped by faith. Examples of practices a Christian can do include hospitality, observing the Sabbath, and honoring the body. One cannot afford to overdue the other; Christians need to balance the practice and live according to God’s way. A simple pattern of spiritual practice in which a Christian follow deepens and expands a person’s spirituality.

As a Christian, you need to balance a healthy body and wellbeing. These two factors are essential for a successful spiritual life. Under wellbeing, there are four models in which a Christian should observe. One is everyday happiness. This is influenced by the type of job an individual does each day. Some things make a person happy or sad in a person’s workplace and affect everyday happiness (Wadell, 2016). You may be forced to do something at work that may go against your values, hence creating sadness and dissatisfaction at the workplace. As a Christian, you need to find deep joy in the workplace, and this may be achieved through doing what you like most at the end of your work and the beginning. This will positively motivate you and create happiness in your workplace. There is great joy in administering happiness to others during a time of suffering; hence Christians should strive to help others and find happiness at the place of work since it will deepen and expand their spirituality.

Secondly is resilience. This is seen in the life of a Christian when they are faced with difficulty since it is the ability to bounce back when faced with a problem. Self-awareness is essential for a Christian to solve a problem since you need to know what you are going through well to create solutions for the problem. Self-regulation, reflection, and control are the guidelines that a Christian should follow when faced with difficulties. Self-reflection helps a person understand why they feel that way and what causes them to feel so when faced with a problem. By reflecting on the feeling and the problem, a person can develop a solution to the problem. Self-control is the ability of a person to choose how they want to react to an issue. Some practices can help in resilience, such as having fun, enough sleep, spiritual practice, and relaxing. These aids in solving the problem. Through resilience, a Christian can seek God’s help to solve their problem, and once there are solves, it deepens the spirituality of a person.

Self-integrity is the third model of everyday happiness. Under self-integrity, a person needs to know their personality, skills, and characteristics, which act as a personal strength. By understanding yourself better and knowing what you can do and do not help a Christian practice good values that are in accordance with Christianity. By practicing good values, helps to improve the spirituality of a Christian. Lastly, thriving is what gives an individual a purposeful and meaningful life. It enables a person to leave a legacy and positively affect the lives of others through ministry and fulfilling a God-given purpose on earth.

In conclusion, as a Christian, you should practice good values that are in accordance with Christianity. Their practices are everyday activities and should have a positive influence on the lives of others.
