The code of conduct impacts the operations of the business and all other activities that are associated with it. Therefore, the codes of conduct represent the way that the companies will function and operate as stated by the codes of conduct. The relations of the company with the

The codes of conduct should be taken seriously by businesses. Therefore, the businesses should make informed steps to make sure that the public develops a positive image of the company[3]. The codes of conduct, therefore, play a role in bringing the image of the business to consumers and the public in a manner that the business will flourish if the image is good to the consumers and the public[4].

2.1.1 Code of conduct compliance with laws and regulations

Obeying the law will make a business look more impressive to the consumers of the product as they will believe that the goods are made using the set standards[5]. Therefore, the public will believe that the company is more compliant to the laws of the country that require the businesses to maintain the set standard to make and supply products[6]. On the same note, the employees will be required to obey the internal laws of the company that aims at increasing the productivity of the company[7]. Employees and the public will see the company as a company that cares for the health of the consumers and the public by obeying some of the laws[8]. For instance, laws may require the company to maintain high levels of hygiene during the manufacture and supply of the products[9].

2.1.2 obeying the law

Obeying the law will develop a good image to the public and consumers of the products supplied by the company as they will be assured of their health after using the products from the company[10].The general conduct of the employees will be considered so much since employees play an important role in the manufacture of company products and also in realizing the set goals and objectives of the company[11]. the codes of conduct, therefore, will affect and impact the image of the company to the public and the consumers of the company.

Another code of conduct that affects the image of the company to the consumers and the public is the professional appearances of the employees in the company. The way the employees of the company present themselves to the members of the public and the consumers will play an important role in developing the image of the business[12].The professional appearance code of conduct for businesses is quickly shaping the general outlook of the business to the public and consumers of the products that are associated with the company[13]. Therefore, to maintain the general outlook of the business to the public and the consumers of the products, the companies will be required to fix the professional appearance of the key players and employees of the company.

2.1.3. Company policy

Another code of conduct that is quickly shaping the image of the companies to the public and the consumers of the products is the caring and consideration policy[14]. The code of conduct aims at taking care of the employees of the company and hence, make the consumers and the public be sure that the company takes care of its employees and considers their interests. Valuing the employees of the company will be a propelling factor of the company towards success and popularity of the business[15]. Therefore, the image of any company can be improved by making sure that the value for key players and the employees of the business are considered to be very important and crucial to the success of the company in general[16].

The image of the corporate company can, therefore, be affected by the aforementioned codes of conduct. The popularity of the business to the consumers and the public can be a factor for the success of the business and should, therefore, be taken seriously. The number of consumers for products of the companies can be affected by the image of the company to them and the public. The codes of conduct should, therefore, be a strong factor that will determine the image of the company and have an effect on the number of consumers and acceptance from the public.

2.1.4 Code of conduct for business operations

Therefore, obeying some of the codes of conduct such as hygiene for the company will impact the image of the company to the public and the consumers as they will consider the environment on which the products are made and the effects of the operations of the business to them[17]. The codes of conduct that focus on the health of the consumers and the public will make sure that for instance, the release of sewerage water to rivers and dumping of waste product from the company, do not affect the public and the consumers of the goods that are made and supplied by the company. The image of the company has been shaped by some of the aforementioned codes of conduct and therefore, the companies should consider and implement the codes of conducts for the operation of the business and hence, shape the image of the business either, negatively or positively.

  1. Introduction of legislation to make other parties enforce the codes of conduct

Owing to the importance of the codes of conduct to the businesses, legislation should be introduced to other parties apart from the companies that are involved in global supply chains. Introducing legislation to other parties will make it possible for other companies to enforce the codes of conduct for the employees and other key players of the company. Coming up with laws to allow the other companies not involved in the global supply chain to enforce the codes of conduct will prove to be important[18]. Some of the advantages that will come for legislation to allow other companies to enforce the codes of conduct are discussed below.

  • Advantages.

Introduction of codes of conduct into legislation will make the company more standardized. Legislation will guide the company on the ways to operate. In this manner, the company will be at a position of not evading the implementation of the codes of conduct in the company.

The parties will, therefore, make it possible for the standards that are required for making the products from the companies are met and hence, the consumers of the products will be glad for receiving what they requested for[19]. Introducing legislation to other parties not involved in the supply chain to enforce the codes of ethics will allow the parties avoid problems with the public and the consumers and hence, the companies will be forced to cope with the set standard for the manufacture of goods and services[21]. The companies will be, therefore, improve the relations among the employees in the business and hence, foster unity and hard work among the members of the company and the public. The image of the companies will be fostered by making sure that the operations are guided by the law and hence, they will develop positive image and reactions to the operations and the products of the company[22].

Additionally, the legislation will be an important feature for measuring the standards and the quality of products that will be consumed by the members of the public and the consumers. Legislation to allow the companies to enforce the codes of conduct will allow the members of the company to observe high levels of discipline in dealing with the clients and the potential consumers of the products that are made by the parties[23]. The parties will be at a position to instruct the staff to improve service delivery and observe the laws for making goods for the public. Therefore, legislation should be allowed for the other parties to enforce the codes of conduct as the advantages will be many and will benefit everyone in the business arena.

The codes of conduct will make the companies more productive. This is because the productivity of the company will be regulated in a manner that profit margins will increase[24]. The businesses will, therefore, be at a position of maintaining and retaining the customers and hence, lead to the success of the businesses. The legislation will, therefore, prove to be very significant in making sure that the other parties, not involved in the global supply chain to enforce the codes of conduct in the system of the business.

The businesses will, therefore, run as per the set regulation of companies and hence, comply with them to improve the image of the businesses to all stakeholders[25]. The codes of conduct will be significant to the law enforcers as they will not experience so many problems with the operations of the business and the effects of the business to the public and the consumers of the products[26]. High-quality products will be sold to consumers as the codes of conduct will guide the whole process of making the goods. Therefore, legislation should be introduced to other parties not involved in the global supply chain to allow them to enforce the codes of conduct[27].

The operations of the company will therefore, be affected as the costs for the general operation of the company as there will be added costs.  Legislation to allow other parties not involved in        the global supply chain will be more challenging in a manner that the idea will not be received well by other parties[28]. Some of the parties will try to evade the implementation of the codes of conduct and hence inconvenience the requirements and expectations of legislating agencies[29]. 2.Some legislative standards will be hard to unify in the company and this can lead to problems. The company can be affected a lot by this as it cannot keep the standards as required. Unifying the legislative standards will prove to be very difficult and hence, can lead to many problems

The government has policies that will help enforce the codes of conduct in the businesses and carry out regular follow-ups to make sure that the laws are obeyed at all times[48]. The officers from the government will take actions on the industries that may not be complying with the law and other set standards to allow the companies to enforce the codes of conduct and obey them at all times[49].

5.Conclusion

Therefore, the corporate code of conduct will allow the companies to consider the interests, motivation, and obligations of the employees and other key players in the company. by considering all these, the company will have a motivated and happy workforce that will drive it to success in all situations.

Additionally, any company needs to have good relations with the consumers of the products that it produces and supplies. For this reason, the companies will be required to value the consumers and hence, look for the best ways to make the consumers happy and satisfied by the products and the general services that will be offered by the companies. The global supply chain companies will, therefore, put in place the policies to make sure that the consumers get what they request.

The legislation will serve an important role in making sure that the codes of conduct are upheld at all time and the products that are sold by the companies are standard and friendly to the consumers. The operations of the companies will therefore not affect the normal life of the public negatively. Therefore, legislation should be introduced to make the codes of conduct enforceable in other parties are not part of the global supply chain.
