This paper identifies and would assess the cognitive habits of the experienced nurses working on a new healthcare unit. The experienced nurses working on a new healthcare unit should use critical thinking to solve the new workplace’s emerging problems and challenges. The experienced nurses working on a new healthcare unit should also use critical thinking to establish strategies vital to effectively work and relate with others in the new working environment (Roberts, 2015). Moreover, Critical thinking would be necessary for the experienced nurses working in the new healthcare unit to recommend well-informed opinions and express a high level of creativity and competence towards improving the provision of care in the new workplace. Impacts of Cognitive Habits on Critical Thinking

5 What physical, emotional, and mental challenges have you encountered while working in the new workplace, what were your reactions to such challenges? The question will be asked to assess experienced nurses working in the new workplace to assess the Physical, social, emotional, and mental fitness of experienced nurses. A physically, emotionally, and mentally fit nurses will provide positive answers to the question. The fit nurses will have positive and creative reactions to the challenges (Rubenfeld & Scheffer, 2010).

The questions will be asked to assess the experienced nurses’ ability to manipulate their educational qualifications into functional roles. The question would be used to assess the nurses’ mobility and response to situational problems affecting the patients.
