Amazon’s Business Strategy

The performance of any organization is strongly dependent on how well the management can organize its activities. The flow of operations, human resource planning, and proper strategies are critical factors in the growth of the business. In regards to this, the choice of the right leaders, who can be able to execute the policies and standards, is an essential element that cannot be ignored. Giant and multinational companies have been able to thrive the competitive markets, due to the employment of the short and well directed managerial capabilities to identify and solve weaknesses appropriately. Amazon, a global retailer, can be described by the strategy it employs to perform the businesses across the world. Eckert (2016, p.175) affirms that the company adopts cost leadership strategy. Moreover, he notes that the industry operates with a razor profit, and it has been able to expand due to various factors. According to the research conducted by Mayo (2015, p.178), he notes that factors such as innovation, creativity, economies of scale and diversification of markets are the core elements which sustain the performance.

The amazon’s strategy is built on three primarycornerstones. One is entering into the new markets by offering quality goods and services. The retailer started in 1997, by selling books online (Kearn 2010, p.165). Currently, the business is virtually everything of sale and enjoys brand loyalty to maximize the sales. The company has extensively been able to establish new customers in the different areas and offered a thick competitive edge to the competitors in the same sector, such as Alibaba. Recently, the company launched Amazon Home Services, which is a professional way to schedule local services (Loebbecke et al. 2010, p.179). The second one is, strengthening the ecosystem of the business. Amazon is a brand which has attracted many professionals. Among them are app developers, publishers, market analysts among others. Every section is very paramount in running the organizations. The leadership derives maximum from each component and strengthens the relationship. Finally, focusing on leadership is another usefulstrategy (Ramakrishnan and Viswanathan 2015, p.32).  The company aims to gain maximum from the employees. To achieve this, the works are subjected to enormous workloads and extended working hours, to improve the performance of the company across the world. The management, therefore, is very observant in enhancing the human resource, to cater for the needs of the labor.

Importance of HR Planning for Amazon’s Business Strategy

Human resourceis defined as the management of employees, to gain maximum output from their services. According to the research conducted by Rhidian (2012, p.35), he argues that workers are essential assets for any organization. They constitute the central focus of the business, where the leaders have to continually check on what they need, to increase the anticipated performance (Reimer and Waldfogel 2012, p.45) and. Things such as motivation and improved working environments are core is directing the attention of the employees to deliver. Due to this reason, human resource planning is very essential, not only for a large organization but also for the startups which are struggling to find their way into the market.

One importance of human resources planning is helping to identify the market gaps. The world of business is sophisticated and requires proper analysis, before making decisions to enter or exit. In the modern economy, where technology has continued to improve, more continents have changed the way they operate. People are becoming more aware of the possible services, which are offered by online companies (Salam 2016, p.78). Moreover, other businesses have also realized that individual he started to embrace the new era of technological improvements, hence launched their marketing strategies directed to target online users. Amazon has been able to excel in digital marketing and beat the rivals, due to their capability to understand what to sell at what time. Salam (2016, p.87) opines that the only way to win a complex market is to locate where other traders cannot be able to see. Having a third eye in business cycle is an additional advantage that ensures the progress of the business is well achieved. For example, the online presence of Amazon covers about 70% of the world markets (Saybold 2010, p.82). Through correct analysis of different needs of the customers, the company has continually expanded. It is the largest world online platform, which can control more than 310 active customers.

Furthermore, the company has been able to retain the best employees, due to its culture of maintaininghealthy and ambient ecosystems. The rates of turnover in the world are estimated to increase as the year’s progress. According to the research released by Saybold (2010, p.82), he affirmed that failure of the employer to plan well necessitate to this scenarios happening. One way that the organization has been able to maintain the high performing workers is through motivation. Moreover, the leadership has been able to address their concerns, with serious considerations of the output (Simannaravanna 2015, p.249). Apart from the workers, the business has enhanced good relationships with the stakeholders.  The winning culture has been able to lure more experienced employees into the company, who enables the organization to excel and retain the global standards.

In the same vein, human resource planning impacts Amazon’s strategy by streamlining the data that is required for recruiting. A study conducted by Rhidian (2012, p.60) affirmed that the most cause of lower performance in most of the organizations was attributed to the lack of accurate information on where modifications are needed. Data is crucial in running the business because it gives real-time situations of the market. It can indicate some of the areas where the leadership needs to adjust. This is one of the regions that Amazon has been able to work on, and resulted inexcellentperformance (Salam 2016, p.79). With an array of analysts covering the global markets, the human resource managers detail the requirements of every employee, which is the preface to growth. Human resource planning is an essential aspect of any organization. Amazon has been able to venture various markets, due to its respect for its labor supply. The organization employs guided leadership in controlling what the employees do. It’s, therefore essential to plan business strategies based on the available market data.
